The event, organised by the Marine Institute and the University of Galway, brought together experts and stakeholders to discuss pressing issues in the marine sector.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Representing WINBIG, a project contributing to the BESIDE platform, Mariana Almeida made a presentation with Hasmik Grigoryan from the University of Galway on the <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">challenges of gender equality in the EU Blue Economy<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">. Their work offered insights <\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">into the challenges that women may face in the diverse sectors of Eu Blue Economy<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">The symposium covered a broad range of topics, including governance issues, community engagement, blue economy analysis, blue carbon, and offshore energy.
